German Silver Jardiniere

A German .875 silver jardiniere c. 1895. Embossed with scrolls and foliage in the Rococo revival style, with the original etched glass liner and fitted wooden case from a Russian retail shop. Engraved with a monogram and the dates 1872-1897. Also includes a silver gilt tray bearing the mark of Ovchinnikov designed to fit in the bottom of the jardiniere for use as a serving dish. 18" (45.7) across, 65 troy oz weighable.
