Austro-Hungarian Silver Flagon

A large .800 silver flagon from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, c. 1900. Tapered cylindrical body with domed lid, leaf and tendril handle, tiger's head spout and a three dimensional monkey figure on the hinge. One side has an embossed scene of Saint Stephen I (the first king of Hungary) the other is engraved with an armorial. 18 3/4" high, 74 troy oz.
