01198 - Mercer's Company Monteith Bowl
A superb Victorian silver monteith style rose bowl, made in Britannia standard and hallmarked for London 1893 by George Lambert. Shaped rim with applied mask and scroll edge, fluted body and pedestal foot, lion mask ring handles. With an embossed cartouche on both sides, one engraved with the "Mercer's Maiden" coat of arms and the other with an inscription commemorating the 500 year anniversary of the Mercer's Company. 8.5" diameter, 5 3/4" high, 28 troy oz.
