A Victorian silver snuff box hallmarked Birmingham 1844 by the respected box maker Edward Smith. Rectangular with engine turned decoration, applied scroll edge and gilt interior. 2 7/8" x 1 5/8" (7.5cm x 4cm) 85g.

Inscribed on the lid "Blackburn Agricultural Society / Presented to Mr. Henry Wearer / For the Best Draught Horse / Ocy. 8th 1845."
